Win 98 SE update

Hi everybody,

i've an incredible problem with my Win 98 SE update: when i download it it's all ok, but when i try installing it doesn't end correctly and when i reset the PC, it blocks and i have to insert a floppy disk to repristinate everything at the factory conditions.

What update are you talking about?

when you go in internet explorer, tools, windows update...

First of all, you don't have to update every single thing MS puts on that update page. I downloaded all the critical updates..checked first for each one to be sure they were "for" 98SE..but definitely didn't download IE 6 which was recommended.

Secondly, what I did download installed automatically..and then it wanted to reboot, so I got offline, and rebooted. I am not sure what you tried to install?
