Hello friends.
I have a problem:
When I push the start button of my computer, the power LED lights
for an instant and then it extinguishes. The system doesn't boot at all.
I think it may be a power problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

It could be a power problem, but it could be almost any other hardware problem too. Without more info, we barely even have a place to start. Is this a brand new build or a system that has been around for a while? If it has been around, have you changed anything recently, hardware or software? Did the problem occur suddenly or were there other warning signs? Please give us as much info as possible so we don't have to be computer psychics....:D

Try running the mobo out of the case with only the cpu, memory, graphics and see if its boots, if it boots add back all devices and try, after that put mobo back in case and try to boot up.

As Budfred said more info will help us help you.

Thanks for your help. I am going to give a little more information.
The problem has occurred suddenly, and I have made no changes in
the system, neither hardware nor software.

Check all connection are in firm and the wires that come from the reset, power switch to mobo are on firm, also check the wire its self, mite need resoldering on button.

You dont say if its a new/old puter.

If it is the power supply, you have 2 choices to check it. You can find another power supply and try it or you can use a multimeter to check the power output. Since you get a flash of power, I am guessing it is not the switch, but it could be a bad connection.

Have you cleaned the computer out recently? If it overheated it could actually have caused major damage and that could look the same as what you are seeing.

I don't get why you don't want to say more about the computer, but without more info we can only give you general suggestions.
