Hmmm poor code in a program eh! Never thought of that before;) Hey it is true that I can't uninstall my IE? Cause now Im thinking of dl Mozilla or the Firebird(?). BTW I have reformat my drives again and now I have a drive for games(whoo rise of nations takes a lot of space), programs, and other files. My question is if I were to reformat my C: drive and reinstall xp again, all my other infos in the other drives would still work with the freshly install xp right?
Thanx:p

Maybe, but probably not. All the shortcuts will be gone. When you installed the programs on the other drive, they still made references in the registry of the OS. Reinstalling the OS will completely remove those references. It's possible, although very tedious, to rebuild the shortcuts. In some cases you can also just drag and drop the exe file for a program to the Start/Programs menu, which may or may not work.
The most common reason for a system to freeze is flaky RAM.

Hmmmmm.....
It seems as though we have two possible perpetrators or camps that could create freezes, namely, "Hardware and Software."
Rick pointed to the Software potential...
BB pointed to the Hardware potential...
Elaborating a bit further on the Hardware side of things, there are usually 3 potential culprits, i.e., Heat, Power Supply, or as BB suggested, RAM.

A complete list of all the things that make a system freeze would probably rival the Nothing thread in length...
That said, it is probably not possible to uninstall IE from WinXP, but at least one source claims to have done it with IEradicator. However, you don't have to uninstall it to run another browser. You can install the other browser and even make it default if you wish. I have 5 different browsers installed on my machine.
