1.Is there still a web site around that lists all the avi codecs and examples of the avi files that run using them? There used to be a website that had something like that, but it's either gone or changed url.
2.Is there a way to tell what codec is needed to play a certain avi file? I'm running Windows 2000 Pro and have an avi file that lists i263 at the start of the file when viewed in wordpad. And I have the codecs in the system32 folder. Audio comes through, using Windows Media player 6.4.09.1121 but not video.
3.Is there a better media player than WMP? One that may include necessary codecs. Has to be, right?
