Problems With Microsoft Outlook

I've just received several reply failures mentioning

User Bill Smith (bill.smith@pretend.com) not listed in public Name Address Book.

Can someone tell me how to fix this and tell me why messages to legitimate email addresses are being sent back to me? Obviously its something to do with send settings and address book settings in Outlook.
How do I fix it??

ok, it seems the problem was with the actual email address. I had left out a .au at the beginning of the address. I think that was the problem.
