Could Be Virus Could be Error

Hey, I am having trouble with my Control Alt Delete Program (I cant tell the name of it because of my problem...). Well the top bar, the one with te app. name, the closing X the minimize _ has totally gone away. I have tried rebooting bit it's still there... I suspect it could be a minor virus, or it could have a small chance to have been caused by a web site (that I visit normally, havent had any problems) where using html the top bar is cut off. I can't tell if its a virus first of all because I am too lazy to install virus detection (which using my psychic powers is going to be the first thing you tell me to do), and along with that top bar the 3 tabs (Apps, Processes and cant remember the other one) are all cut off too.:eek:

No, not quite...so don't go using your psychic powers to get the latest lottery numbers.:D

The first thing is to download and run HijackThis (http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt) (tutorial and download link). Then post the log.

Then do an online scan...links in my sig.

Then, finally, install an AV...there are a couple free ones with AVG being the most popular.

And if you are really lazy it is far less work to install an antivirus and let it guard your system than to do the clean up when you get infected because you don't have one. I pride myself one my well developed sense of laziness and I would never consider running without an antivirus....:p
