What would a fried cpu look like?

Hi I was just wondering what would a fried cpu look like? If someone know or could link me to a site with picture I would appreciated.

Actually, it would probably look pretty much the same as a good CPU. The frying that kills CPUs is usually at the level of the tiny circuits in the chip, so it isn't real obvious from simple observation. If it were hit with lightening or some other heavy duty electrical charge, it is possible that you could see more evident damage. If it was fried recently, you might pick up an a burnt smell....
