You want to run a bootloader to boot from your harddrive, either LILO or GRUB. On my redhat 9.0 machine its /sbin/lilo, yours may or may not be the same.
In your (my) /etc/inittab file, line 18 looks like this
id:5:initdefault:
If I change the "5" to a "3", my machine will forego booting to a gui, and just boot to a login shell prompt. This tells the machine that you (I) want to boot to runlevel 3 (terminal) instead of runlevel 5 (X window).
Again, your mileage may vary.

1. I have RHlinux 7.1 installed and i have Lilo boot loader installed in my system I know that the boot loader configuration file exists in etc/lilo.conf but i doesn't know the way to change the boot sequence and i don't think lilo is working because when my system starts, WinMe gets started automatically Though Linux had presented me some options with boot loader configuration tool, I am really n't sure how to change the settings
2. I have all my MP3 songs in a seperate drive in my hard disk and how can play them using linux audio players since when i press the open tab,i am able to see only the files in my linux drive and how to access my mp3 songs in the drive other than my linux drive
3.I had come to know how can we get into command line using linux but is there a way by which we can just shift the gui and command line as we do it in windows & dos
4.How to change the default environment which i log into

You don't have to configure LILO manually. Find out (search if you need to) where your LILO executable is first, likely /sbin/lilo. If this is the case, log in as root, and type "/sbin/lilo" at the prompt. Lilo should automatically configure and run next time you boot.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. There should be terminal apps listed in your taskbar menu which are the equivalent of the MSDOS app in windows.
You change your default environment exactly as I said. Edit your inittab file. If you need a step-by-step, post back and let me know.
As far as your mp3s, that's a broad question which is going to need research on your part. You need to understand drive mounting, and different filesystems. I reccommend the book "Running Linux" by O'Reilly.
