Battlefield games, going far

We all know about battlefield 1942. It was game of the year this past year (was it twice?). It is a great WWII FPS game. One reason it was a hit was one thing ....... VEHICLES! Yes, you could drive everything from jeeps, to tanks, to airplanes, to submarines, to aircraft carriers. Not to mention the Desert Combat Mod which adds modern day warfare in the middle east INCLUDING HELICOPTERS!!! My personal Desert Combat clan Here (planetstg.com). Anyways it was a great game! Now the next game in the Battlefield series. Battlefield Vietnam . This from the articles and screenshots I have seen should be just as good as 1942 with the addition of helicopters. How far will this go. All the way to making Battlefield Iraq which will end up with no weapons of mass destruction:eek: . Gese what a lame way to end a game:D :rolleyes: . Will you be getting BFV? Did you like '42?

Hey KC, I want to play BF1942 after so many of my friends said how good it was. Do you know if they still sell theses in stores? Your clan sounds fun and look nice enough. I might join you know,;) I'm still gonna be a n00b LOL:D

Is it still being sold??????? of course they even have 2 expansion packs. I would not reccomend road to rame expansion. It has caused several probs on both my computer and my parents. I have no Idea if secret Weapons of WWII is good though. Like I said if you get BF1942 download the BF1942 1.4 patch. Then when you beat the game get Desert Combat .30 and the fun goes on and on and on and on..... need I say more?:D

I recent bought battlefield-1942.
it was on 2CDs.
it got installed succesfully, but when i try to run the game, it immediately comes back to the desktop without launching.
Any solution!

Do you have the correct version of directx? Have you checked the compatibility with your system? Do you have a celeron? I know my friend built a celeron system and he couldn't run Battlefield.:( Sadly he had to buy a P4.:(
