I know where to go to check system resources on a Windows 9x/me. But is there such a place in XP or W2K?

Task Manager will show memory usage, pagefile usage, cpu usage, etc.

CTRL ALT DEL

Thanks. So what's the difference? In Windows 9x/me the resources start running low and then you have to reboot to get them back up. As far as I can tell I don't have to in XP/2000. But come to think about it, I know of a system running Windows 98 that's on 24/7 and the resources stay the same (85%). Of course the only thing it's used for is to get on line to make orders. Comments please.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the NT Kernel. 2K and XP are muuuuch better at handling system resources and memory than 9x ever was. No more huge memory leaks and reboots.:)

Just a shortcut you can use in XP. Right click on the taskbar and select task manager, instead of the standard ctrl-alt-del as mentioned earlier.
