I have Windows 2000 Pro and Word 97 on my computer, and whenever I open a doc file by double clicking it on Explorer or the recent menu, I get this annoying message telling that the document is in use by ... and asks me if I would like to make a copy. The file opens anyway, either if I click ok or cancel, but I just can't get rid of the message. The problem does not occur when I first run MSWord and then open the file
from its Open menu. Can anyone help me get rid of it?
I seem to remember having this problem from a previous install of Word when using Windows 98, but can't remember the fix.
