I am running XP and just recently tried to download one of my favorite games, Sid Meier's Gettysburg. I got a message that goes like this.

"The procedure entry point UnMapLS could not be located in the document link library Kernel32.dll"

Any suggestions? I know that Firaxis has a link to help the game run on XP, but I can't even load it without getting this message!

Thanks!

:)

It's not clear if you are getting this generic windows message when you try to download or when you try to run the program itself.

Possibly you might be able to run the program in compatibility mode but it sounds like you need the XP "patch" mentioned.

If problems downloading from any sites then try another browser (you could download Off By One (http://www.offbyone.com/) on another pc and transfer it on one floppy disk) or a repair installation of WinXP.

This is due to some .dll incompatibility somewhere in the sequence of library files. For those that want to, read The End of DLL Hell (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnsetup/html/dlldanger1.asp).
