I read an article last tuesday that said Motorola has had a giant break through in nanotechnology.
NED technology which stands for nano emissive display will be licensed through Motorola.
The article spoke of nanotubes the size and shape of kraft macaroni for amoebas. Just atoms in size.
From what I understand factories would spread a mixture across a screen and these nanotubes would grow. Which later will fire electrons and produce a picture.
The cost of this technology they are saying is going to drive the price of big sreen TV's, 50" plasma, down to the price of a 32" cathode tube but with high definition.
The article said we would start seeing them in the next 4-5 years.
I LOVE ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGY!!
