View Full Version : BIOS beeps codes errors!

Hi!
My computer is fail. When I boot it I heard some beeps
beep code consists of a single long beep followed by three
short beeps.
I don't know what happen the BIOS is AWARD BIOS
Please help me solve this problem!

It sounds like a Bad video ram or you have no video card.Stick around and some one will help you out.

On RE: uld also be a conventional or extended memory failure. but it'll be same trouble shoot-----If you do not feel at ease doing this than by all means take to a shop!!!


Take out the first bank of Ram and move the second bank to the first banks slot [leave the first bank of Ram out and power up the PC to test it]- you may have a bad SIMM or DIMM. If the Ram you had in bank two works fine in bank one's slot, then the Ram that was in bank one is bad.

If both of these fail ?? then most likely it's the mother board??

I had the same beep code on one of my computers (AWARD BIOS), it was a faulty video card. When I replaced it with another card it worked fine.
