Hi people, I just want to know the correct to describes that.
Like it is true that Apple's computer does 12 works per clock cycle? AMD does 9 and Intel does 6?
Does anyone knows what I'm talking about and the correct term to describe this?
Thanx:D (finally I can smile again):p

It's not something I'm familiar with, but are you referring to bus width and instruction sets?
Apples use RISC processing, whereby a few number of commands can achieve a greater number of instructions carried out. Bus width depends on various things, and this is about to be increased dramatically with the introduction of true 64 bit processors (the current pentiums etc are two paralleled 32 bit processors)
Intel processors use a similar instruction set to AMD, but their 3D and multimedia extension instructions are different, which mean different amounts of work can be done depending on the application.

Well I don't even know exactly what I said:eek: But what you just told me is interesting, can you please explain more?
Thanx:D

Hey Deagle , here's an interesting idea (http://www.google.com/search?q=cpu+work+per+clock+cycle&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off).;)

Hmm interesting Malcore, now I understand that only the p4 does less works per clock cycle compares to the XP.
Thanx for clearing it up:D
