How Do I Use A Rar File?

hi i need to know how to use a downloaded [rar] file its a game,so any advice would be great!do i copy it like an iso?

I have not seen very many legit file downloads use obscure compression schemes. Usually they use .zip or a self=extractor/installer package (exe).

If this is a crack/warze I wouldn't trust it...other things aside, when getting off the commonly used road the chances for some bad happening go up (heck, in th cracks/warze world that can happen just looking at the sites).

Are you sure this is a Windows files to begin with?

If all of the above checks out the what archive management software are you using?

The one you use must support the rar format.

the rar file is legit i got it from a mate,i just need to know how to open it,my mates away so i cant ask him.

You open it like a zip file, but with a decompression program that works with the RAR format. You can do a Google search for these programs or search the forums for the last 6 months for WinRAR... there was a thread about it recently that contained a link with a number of programs that open RAR files.
