case question - PLEASE HELP!

i have a thermaltake xaser 3 case (V1420AU) and it comes with a cooling product called HardCano which controls fan speed and temperature of the CPU. the temperature probe that u tape tape to the underside of the CPU is too long and blocks some of the pins. In the manual it shows an AMD proc and I have a P4 does that have anything to do with it?

That shouldn't be an issue unless the specs say it is only for AMD or P4 which is pretty unlikely.

I realize this is showing an AMD processor, but you may want to take note regarding the probe installation where it states that you can bend the probe to accommodate.
