I reinstalled windows 95B and the second hard drive does not appear in my computer.
The award bios is set the same as before windows was reinstalled.
Under divice manager disk drives the drive in question
is IDE disk type 46 the same as before
in properties it says device is working properly
but in settings drive letter is blank.
System specs windows 95B 256K RAM 133mhz pentium 20ghb Maxtor hard drive working 1.6 gbh Maxtor model 52049U4 not appearing.
Any help appreciated.

Ok....can the BIOS see the drive?

Is it formatted?

In a filesystem that 95 will recognise?

Boot with a 'Start Up' disk and see if you can see the drive. Do you know Dos commands: C: D: dir etc.? If you can see the drive in Dos, try listing its contents with dir (directory). If you can see the drive but can't list its contents, try to reformat the drive (format D:).
