System is Athlon 700 on MSI ms6195 motherboard with 128mg ram. I added two 128mg sticks and Windows only recognizes 256mg total. The CMOS reports 384. What could I have done wrong?
What version of Windows are you running?
You can run through the memory troubleshooter (either through the Helpfile or here (http://support.microsoft.com/support/tshoot/w98memory.asp).

Try putting in 128 MB at a time and see if there is a problem with an individual DIMM.
Also, is there a local shop with a RAM testing machine that will test the RAM for you? If there is, take the chips out and have them tested.
