hey i was watchin TechTv (http://www.techtv.com) and on one of the shows told me that i could "auto complete" a web address in IE4+ by typing (ex. google) and then press CTRL + Enter and it would fill http://www..com around google. I tried it on a friend's computer and it worked but I just tried it at my house and it didnt work. Is there a setting I need to change?
P.S. I have IE6

I have ie6 also and just tried it and it worked. Can't think of any special settings that I have. Pretty much everything is default. I typed google in the address bar and the hit ctrl-enter and away I went.
Mark:)
Tried 3 other sites and they all worked too.

Check your auto complete settings:
Internet Properties > Content > Auto Complete
3 check boxes - Web Addresses - Forms - User Names and Passwords

Unfortunately, it only works in the address bar, and not in the Open dialog box (Ctrl-L).
