Going to be putting together a kit for servicing.
one of the obvious things that may crop up is data recovery. I don't pretend that I'll be going into the heavy duty recovery game, but would like to be able to rescue files for clients where possible.
Any suggestions about which software to go for? I envisage working solely on Win machines - 95 and upwards seems to be the area.

I'm already looking at software for data recovery from digital cameras, but would like something a bit stronger for hdds.

On-Track Easy Recovery. If the drive spins and is recognised in BIOS, this should do the job.
