I need to change my two 60GB HDD to 2*80GB HDD in RAID 0. Will the 28bit LBA limit affect me or not.

I still need to use win98, is the LBA limit for one HDD or for the sum of both (i.e. 160 GB)

Thank you ;)

With the advent of FAT32, Win98/ME 2k/XP have a theoretical limit of 2 terabytes. It's not really a software limit now, but a hardware limit. Then comes INT13h extensions (or LBA) which increased the hardware capabilities.

Basically, any problem you would have using two 80 GB hdds would stem from your BIOS and not Win98. As you are using a very new board with the latest Intel chipset (I875P), you should not have a problem.

Yep, he pretty much summed it up. It woudl be a bios issue. OS is irrelevant. thats to say if it was an issue, which its not. No worries
