Can someone clue me in if the cmos jumper set to discharge will prevent an Abit BX6 slot 1 motherboard from booting? I sold the board ( company test product) and had to take it back as the buyer could not get the board to boot. I looked at the jumper settings and the cmos jumper was set to discharge. I'm not really sure if this is the only problem, and I do NOT have the board installed, but could test using the celeron 300a etc. in my current system. I would greatly appreciate any help in this matter as I would love to use the board to overclock if I can get it to work.

No, I don't think it will boot if set to discharge. That's the setting to clear CMOS, if it stays there no CMOS information can be saved, and to be able to boot it has to be able to save the information you give it. Set the jumper to normal, it should then boot.
