Hello,

I've a laptop with 128MB ram and i fixed a new one with 256MB.SO, in total 384MB.But, when i check the properties, it shows me 256MB.How can i know the exact configuration.

I wonder if the bios will only recognize 256? If you posted the kind of laptop you have you might get more informed tips.

Download and install aida32 (http://www.webattack.com/get/aida32.shtml) freeware. Install it, then open it and physical memory is located in motherboard.
There also could be compatability issues with the two memory sticks. You could try swapping the slots to troubleshoot , by installing the 256 stick first,restart, check memory size that is listed, then add the 128 afterwards.
