Hi I was wondering what the best c++ books out on the market are and what the best c++ sites for tips and tutorials are at the moment. I am using Borland c++ 6 at the moment and would like any advice you may have. The main reason I am asking is because the website I usually use is constantly going down due to technical problems.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.

C++ for dummies is an excellent book. There are plenty of others out there, and plenty of websites that will tell you quite a bit for free too. Try searching around for "C++ tutorial" or something of the sort.

Thanks for the post but I am just trying to increase my knowledge of sites and books mainly because the books either get damaged or the sites go down. I have done a search and a lot of sites I go to have broken links or haven't been updated for years, mainly a mix of both.
I am adding this link to help others FunctionX.com (http://www.functionx.com).
The only problem with that site is it has been going down a lot lately.
Some books I would recoomend to others are C++ The complete reference, C++ from the ground up, C++ a beginner's guide, all these books are by Herbert Schildt.
I would like it if people could post links to C++ tutorial sites and C++ books that they would recommend.
And again CarbonatedMilk8 I would like to thank you for your post.
