i was messing around, and hooked my computer up to my TV, and disabled the monitor so i could have the start menu on the TV... but then i was on my way to unhook the TV and reattach my monitor, so i dissabled the TV, and now i went to plug my computer in again, and i have no display.... how i can i fix it? are there any keyboard commands? i can probably get into RUN and type in some ish... help me out. please
Hello & welcome!
Is this a laptop you are using perhaps? They sometimes have function keys to switch between TV output & the screen.
Can you boot into safe mode? (pressing F8 repeatedly as pc boots up) to check the graphics card is still installed!! - in the control panel> system > devices
There may be an option to boot up in VGA mode also. What Operating system is it?
Otherwise tell us more about your setup - what pc and or components - & will see what else it may be :)

nope, its a desktop. I am running windows xp with 2 GeForce4s.. i have recnetly updated drivers, so everything should be running properly. I went into the display properties, and disabled the monitors (no on purpose) and now i cant get them back on... possibly i can force the primary monitor to become active again by using safe mode. maybe there is a command that i can do .... or you can tell me some keystrokes to reactivate my monitor..... please help me if you can :-/
you will have access to the graphics card setup in either safe mode or vga mode.
2 graphics cards? Can be quirky - just to make it more interesting :p
I am not aware of any keyboad commands. If you can get into either Safe or VGA mode you will be able to get to the control panel & check the graphics card setup tho.

If you're not getting any video at all, no Post screen, you won't be able to get into safemode.
Check your monitor cable connection (to the card and to the back of the monitor), and try reseating the vid card. Sometimes unplugging and replugging a monitor can loosen the cards seating in it's slot.
Another thought... if your getting nothing at all.
Remove one of the cards. Let it boot up albeit unsuccesfully still. Replace the graphics card & it will probably go back in with default settings (VGA)?
