Hi, I just got that PSX emulator and I got some games for it. But using the keyboard is really a hassle to play those games.:( So is there a way that I can connect my PSX controllers to the PC for play games?(PSX games of course)
Thanx:p

Have a search for PSX - to - PC USB controller adapters...

There are a few companies that sell them. Pretty cheap too and they work pretty well. Works for other games too, not just psx games.

Hmm, not sure.

Radio Shack doesn't have em here. Maybe in the states it's different though.

I found some at an online place.

Have a look.

You could try a Binary Star PSX/PC USB Link from Simso (http://www.simso.com).

Those adapters are usually only sold online. Not hard to see why since there's a larger profit to be made in selling PC-specific gamepads. However, after having bought and used several PC gamepads, my favorite is the PS2 controller paired with the USB adapter.

I think the difference is necessity. Gamepads just aren't as popular on the PC because it's not the main peripheral for most PC games. That distinction belongs to the mouse & keyboard, so the gamepads I bought for the PC were all cheap in quality (but not price!), and one broke within a month! That was just unacceptable.

So I broke down and bought a USB adapter from Playasia (http://www.play-asia.com/paos-19.html/&p_query=usb%20adapter) made by some unknown company (Boom), and now I'm in emulator heaven! Sure the adapter looks cheap and the driver disk had nothing on it , but the LED's are bright, the switch wasn't difficult to figure out, and it can take either PSX/PS2 or N64 controllers. :D

Best of all, it doesn't matter if it's cheaply made because these adapters don't even have a controller chip! They're so simple to make (comprising a PCB and a single IC) it's like the computer equivalent of spaghetti - you have to do something freaky to make it inedible! :p As for the drivers, if you're running Win ME or later, you won't need any.

By the way, I'm using a friend's PS2 controller that's almost 2 years old! I haven't found a PC gamepad that has lasted that long yet. The adapter has worked perfectly so far (in both digital and analog), which accounts for somewhere around 50 hours of usage. And even though the adapter was about $15 plus $15 rush shipping (ouch!) it's still worth every penny because I've already wasted almost $80 on PC gamepads that didn't work and/or broke.

Find some way to buy online because I'm telling you right now, don't waste your time & money on PC gamepads!
