I am considering purchasing the Enermax 465AX-VE FCA PS for my new Lian Li PC-82 case that I rec'd from CompUSA. This PS has Copper Shielding on the Main power, +12V,AUX and the additional +12V power connectors. I understand that it is important to have the EMI shielding on an Alum case. Is this correct? Also, this PS has 200W on the +3.3 and 5V rails. Will this be sufficent if I use it on the following system?
P4 (3 GHz), Springdale MoBo, GForce4 card, 2 60 GB HDs, and CD/DVD drives?
Thanks

No, 200w is way too low even though its an Enermax. I suggest you get Antec 430w Truepower, it will be more sufficient in handling your system.;)
:p
Deagle, that is a 465W power supply he is asking about. The 200W is just the 3.3 and 5V bus rails.
The power supply is listed in this review:http://www.tomshardware.com/howto/20030609/power_supplies-17.html
I don't know if EMI shielding of a PC is important, unless it is interferring with another electronic device. I have seen a lot of PC's with plastic panels over open drive bays, so shielding was not a consideration on those. Experts and those with PHD's, what do you say?

Oh...oops...sry...misread it:eek: Thank Reid. But that PSU 3.3V and 5V combine output is still lower than my 400w Antec which have 240w for combine output. So I still suggest he get an Antec 430w truepower.
Sry for the mistake, PEACE:cool:
From the review above:
"In the power-use class, the 450- to 520-Watt league, the THG lab technicians only arrived at one recommendation: the Antec True 480P, which produced the most power in the test. This power supply also delivers stable voltages on all lines and comes with a good equipment package. The Antec True 480P is the power supply we recommend for high demands, and is especially suited to extreme overclockers."
That is what I am running, but only with an AMD Athlon 1800+ and a not-so-hot video card.

Thanks for your input.
After reading lots of reviews, I have changed my mind and I am going to purchase a SeaSonic SS 400W PS.
