This computer had a fix it utility disk run on it, which deleted some files. Now at start up it starts to load win 98 but wont get passed the loading screen. I've tried using a start up disk to re-install win98 but the cd-rom is a SCSI and the start up disk wont load a compatable driver. If anyone knows how I can load a driver from start up disk for SCSI cd-rom Please Help.

First, you have to find out what kind of CD-ROM you have??
If it came with the computer, go to the manufacturuer's website and download the DOS driver. You will have to copy the driver along with MSCDEX.exe program to your boot disk. Then you will have to edit (or create) config.sys and autoexec.bat files to load the devices.
Also, if you poke around this forum or wait for someone else, I have seen references to sites where you can download a program that will create a bootable disk with CD support, I don't know if SCSI is included. In any event, I have done this before, so it can be done.
