Can somebody tell me, does the 128MB DDR NVIDIA GEFORCE-FX-5600 video card support OpenGL? The reason I ask is that I have just bought a new PC and want to play Medal of Honour Allied Assault on it. MOHAA says it requires a video card that can support OpenGL, will I be able to play with this video card? I have one more question relating to this game, what PC spec do you recommend for optimal, game performance?
simple anser... yes it does..
Here is a review of that card fyi.. http://www.3dgpu.com/modules/wfsection/article.php?articleid=2&page=0

what PC spec do you recommend for optimal, game performance? That depends entirely on what resolution (and detail settings) you want to play the game, which in turn depends on what size monitor you have! :p ;)
I would say optimal game play for 1024 x 768 (average gameplay resolution these days) you would need a 1.6GHz CPU, 256MB RAM, 64MB GeForce2 or Radeon 7500 video card. Of course, that's just an estimate and NOT with max details. If you want flawless performance at that res w/max details, I would suggest 1.8-2GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, 64-128MB GF3 or Radeon 8500 or greater.
Suffice to say your new graphics card is more than up to the task, especially since MOHAA is a DirectX 7 game - meaning it doesn't use any of the special shader effects found in both DX8 and DX9. And the FX 5600 is a DX9-class video card so MOHAA shouldn't give you any problems if the rest of your system is up to snuff.
Of course, also make sure you have the latest video drivers. Tried playing Counter Strike yesterday but I had problems with the sky background. DL'ed the latest GeForce drivers (WHQL certified) and all is well again! :D

Thanks for the info saphalline. My new PC will have the same spec you mentioned, so I should be able to play at maximum detail! Man, I can't wait!
