what is wrong with windoze

hey guys and girls, i have another problem for you all
when i try to open task manager <ctrl alt del> it comes up for about a second then goes away <goies away meaning the window closes after a second> same thing happens with regedit and msconfig.............. so what the fugg is up with my PC???????????????????????

You are infected with sdbot worm (about 99.9999% sure of that diagnosis).

For removal you can download HijackThis (http://www.tomcoyte.org/hjt) on a known clean machine, put it on a floppy but rename it to hijack.com. Run it and save the log to the floppy....then post it here. Then you will use HJT to kill the startup process for the worm, you will also need to run a reg fix to restore your file associations for exe files, so what version of Windows are you running.

running XP well i finally got a virus scan to work and it found several w32.spybot files and delted them all should i still try run HJT?i have it on my PC already should i post up a log after i finsih the viri search?

Yes, to make sure you got them all.

Also it would probably be a good idea to purge the Restore folder.
