Do you have the monitor near something which is generating enornmous fluctuations in the electro-magnetic field strength which extend to the region occupied by the monitor?

A microwave perhaps [on the other side of a wall]?

There isn't anything near as suggested. But now the shaking has stopped !! after approx an hour. !

It could be the monitor needed some time to warm up or it could be...aliens were trying to communicate with you by beaming signals down to you (from space or other nether regions) and this was interfering with your monitor;'course I could be wrong.

Variable,

Indeed, we, from the board for interspecies communication, were trying to tell dna his monitor was giving a shaky image. Obviously, we succeeded! :p

greetings,

The Aliens

P.S.: not really :D

What really happened was that the monitor stayed still but DNA was shaking with exitement at using his computer, and, possibly coming back to the forums, thereby giving the impression of a shaky monitor.

Probably the monitor is about shot. Lucky you. You get to go shopping for a new one.

Fear Not DNA! I have found a solution to the alien problem. It seems some folks are also having problems with the mind conrol carriers and have developed a "beeny" to protect themselves http://zapatopi.net/afdb.html

I was thinking why not just make a big "hat" for your computer too! Heck, aluminum foil is cheap you could wallpaper the computer room in it. It would have that retro 80's feel to it, throw in a strobe light for parties..

hehe

Hey if you were running linux you could protect against any possible mind control with MindGaurd (http://zapatopi.net/mindguard.html).

and also: beware of "graincircles" in your keyboard. When you see thise apearing, you're in trouble...:p

by the way: there are many aps to remove aliens from your pc, such as Halo, Elite Force II, Starcraft, ... It's usualy a lot of hard work and manual removal of each seperate alien but it might be worth it...
