What is Dibeng module?

I keep getting this error:

MSNMSGR caused a general protection fault
in module DIBENG.DLL at 0004:000013ff.

This is the new versoin of Messenger. I use this thing ALL the time to talk to my folks. Otherwise, I would get rid of it. My ph. bill went from $200.00 a month to $62.00. So I need this program.

As the title says, what exactly is a dibeng?

Have you recently changed your display driver? Added a new graphics card.

I was using ATI Rage 128 Pro GL when I downloaded the latest version of IM. My daughter also installed the new version on her pc. She is using a Compaq. She gets the same error but has a different driver, and isn't using IE 6. She has IE 5.0.

It started doing this after I downloaded the newest version. I reformatted a week ago, and reinstalled everything, including the display driver. It ran fine until I upgraded to IE 6.

I am wondering if this is a problem with the new messenger. Has anyone else had this problem?

I read the KB. The driver is only a yr. old.

What exactly is DIBENG?
