Hi all,

The wife and I would like to take video with a camcorder and send it to her family in England.

I have done google search a few times and found information and do have somewhat of an understanding of the NSTC,PAl formats and their respective frame rates.

What is eluding me is How to go about it. Any help would be appreciated and any info would be more than I have now.

Video card specs?
software?

If you have a CD or DVD writer it may be easier to burn it to a disc. Plenty of software about to do that with. Plus its a universal format. (almost!)

Sorry I dont know much about video - I would guess you need a pal video recorder to make a pal format vid.

Video conversion systems are likely to be very expensive. There are video conversion services that you can send a videotape to, and they will make a compatible copy. It has been quite a few years since I had some converted, but price was reasonable and quality was good.
