I see so many gaming machines shipping with XP Pro over XP Home. With Intel now having hyperthreading can only XP pro take advantage of this because its the OS that can run two CPUs? Or would the exact same set up with one runing home and the other runing pro be just the same when it came to gaming performance?

I have just started on becoming a two computer household. And want to have a set up where one machine is for the family and the other is for gaming. Would it be better for me to have the gaming machine run Pro and the slower (basic email - homework) machine be runing XP Home? Or would there be no real diffrence and that XP Pro has to have two real to life CPU to use it "duel" processor mode?
