G'day
Just lately I have noticed a lag and delay in operations. Explorer is seriouly using the juice (esp with network apps) and a little in general. It is really frustrating.
I have done a Virus Scan (defs up to date ;) ) - no problems there.
I restart and all is good until it happens again...
ANy ideas?
Cheers,
Olie

Maybe you've spywares/adware, run a check for those things.:)

Checked and removed some cookies and small things, but its still doing it.
Only seems to be when I am browsing the network, or have some heavy trafic... Has to be the NIC....
Any suggestions?
Yes, it could be a hardware problem.
What version of Windows?

XP. I never used to have this problem...
Cheers!
Apply any of the recent Security Patches?
I would say that your possiblities are NIC (like you suspect), undiscoverd ad/spyware (AdAware and Spybot don't get everything) or virus/worm.
Post a HijackThis (http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt) log and we'll see if your scans got everything.....

Hijack This didnt pick up anything surprising, so no luck there.
THis is sooo weird. I have checked MS Support KB and couldn't find anything.
NAV is up to date and I have scanned, but nothing was found....
Cheers,
Olie
You can do a system restore to a date that precedes the problem if all else fails to solve it.
