like pave_spectre says if there was a none of the above option I would of gone for that. I use and like Linux the best. The Windows OS that I do prefer to use is W2k. Maybe it would of been XP but never got it and never used it. I could never afford to buy it. That's what pushed me over to Linux.

Buying Windows XP? What a strange concept...

Surely Abbadon your not suggesting anyone might do something OTHER than buying Windows !
That sort of thing just wouldnt be right.
I make use of XP but since messing around with odd hybrid networks Ive developed a preference for Linux. Havent yet fully decided on a distro though as I havent had the time or resources at the moment to look beyond Mandrake or Red Hat.

While it was a year ago....(Wow! Time sure flies), you may find THIS THREAD (http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16540&highlight=Poll) interesting. :p

Are you suggesting I am suggesting something ? I'm not suggesting anything as far as I know :p but then again, what do I know?:D
On a related note: I'd like to vote but can't 'cause I'm at school and they have some proxy-sh*t going down or something like that. My vote would be WinXp, although I do use Win98 for some older games.

Impossible to say, if you mainly use one only.

Win2K is my primary OS at the moment and I am liking it because it usually doesn't crash. I have used them all (although I haven't used XP much) and I don't particularly like any of them. Win3.1 was nice...

I have 98 and up, my favorite (without a doubt) is XP. Windows 2000 is very good but won't support most of the kids games. I've never used Linux or its variation. Not sure how it would benefit me to use it, maybe someday.

I have 98SE on the home desktop
I have XP Home on notebook I carry around
I have 2000 Pro on most of the clients at work.
I find 2000 Pro the easiest at work, but different flavors are better at different things.
I like 98SE because it works for just about EVERYTHING including games.
I have XP Home stripped down per Black Viper.com and it does what I want it to do, no Domain networking connections available though.
I install Linux application servers at work too, nice to only have Apache patches to worry about instead of MS worms and viruses.

Might I point you to a picture from one of my previous after hours posts that can show the brighter future for "you and your family" if you go along with MS.:D
