I don't know the reason for
the problem, please forgive me if it is not
a "system" but a "software" issue.
When booting up, after the "post" and just when the
black screen disapears, instead of the first "windows" screen
(the first colored/blue screen)
the comp decided to boot up again, on it's own.
The same happens during playing (not a third party program, just the free cell....) or typing a letter.
Is it the mobo with it's power saving configuration or the windows?
Any directions for detecting the problem? Should I ask it again on the "software" forum?

Sounds like one of two likely problems. Either your power supply is acting up, or your computer is experiencing overheating problems, whether real or percieved.

What to do? Check your power supply, cpu, and fans for dust or other crud buildup. Your cpu multiplier can cause instability problems if it was accidentally (or intentionally) changed, so you might check that. If you're using a surge supressor or UPS, you might try to boot without it. If you have some method of reading your cpu temperature, monitor that closely.

And keep your eyes peeled to this post, as more responses are sure to be forthcoming. Good luck. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
