windows media player/ Digital rights

Hi, I was using windows media player to play some videos today and I received a message saving Digital rights Management needs checking whats all this about? I'm running XP home and when I went to the site to read about media player I saw a download for windows media player 9
I assume at the moment I have 7 on it, whats going on?

I think this is one of the various copy protection schemes out there. I am not sure, but you can probably track it down on the MS Knowledge Base...

If I remeber correctly you can disable this "enhancement" if you open Media player up and go to tools/options.
