To make a music CD using MP3's you don't need a boot disk or need to name stuff track1, track2, etc. All you need is a CD-r/CD-Rw, a Burner drive, Mp3's, and the software to do it. Easy CD creator is a reliable music cd creation software. There are some free ones. I believe that CD mate is a free one. Never used it before but do a google search for :
free cd burning software
and it should be the first one.

In order to play the tracks on your portable CD player or car, the tracks must be written in a specific format (CD audio). All CD burner software have utilities to change the MP3 format into CD audio and write it to the CD.
You will want to create an "Audio CD". Drag the MP3 files into the burner program, then tell it to burn the CD. The software will do the rest. You must use CD-R disks, and usually the disk must be closed (finalized) at the end of the burn in order to be read.

If the portable CD player and car stereo can play MP3s then you need to create an MP3-CD and not an audio CD. I believe Easy-CD creator has an option for creating MP3-CD's.
