hie grayson .. welcome to Pcguide forums :)

Giving some more information on your system wont hurt. for ex- what version of IE is it (like 5.5 or 6) ? ...OS (like win98 or winXP ) ?

You may try repairing IE using Internet Explorer Repair tool:
Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft Internet Explorer 5, click Add/Remove, click Repair the current installation of Internet Explorer, and then click OK.
If the Internet Explorer Repair Tool Verification does not work, or if Internet Explorer 5 is not listed in the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel, you may be able to start the Internet Explorer Repair tool from a command prompt:
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK:

rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE5Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g "C:\WINDOWS\IE Uninstall Log.Txt"
Post back with the results.

No mate, the Q822925 in the Add/Remove Programs part is a security patch or a Hotfix. I wouldn't advise removing these!
I have found this on Microsoft's Technet website - hopefully it will resolve your problem Reinstall IE (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;318378)

Other things to try - no guarantees.

You Cannot Open New Internet Explorer Window or Nothing Happens After You Click a Link (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679) (Particularly registering urlmon.dll).

IE >> Tools >> Internet Options >> Programs >> Reset Web Settings

Use System Restore (if possible) and go back to a point before this problem started.
