Several years ago I read somewhere about a way of changing the configuration of Windows 98 in such a way that it is supposed to run faster, use less CPU power and take up less space on the hard disk. It's less bloated.
Does anyone have an idea what this is about ?

Yep. Right here (http://www.litepc.com/98lite.html).
They're also the makers of a neat, free little tool called IEradicator (http://www.litepc.com/ieradicator.html).

Or are you thinking about Win98 Lite

This cuts out all the junk built into windows98 and cuts Os to about a third or less.
They now also have XP & 2000 Lite

98lite is a brilliant little program. I used it on the last installation of 98SE I ever did and had a fraction of the number of problems I had ahd with previous installations. I highly reccomend it, particularly if you dont wish to make use of IE/OE.

Yes, it was 98 Lite, you got it all right, all of you.
Cut down to a third ? *That* is really impressive.
As soon as I have my own computer I am going to try this - providing I will be using Windows 98 of course.
Thanks for the info, all. :)

Here's (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=11021) an interesting article, while we're on the subject.
