Wow! That's a lot of computer! Better than anything I've ever built.
Any reason you're not going with DDR 3200 (400 mhz) RAM? Not much more $ and your MOBO supports it. Does my recommendation lead to an asynchronous FSB/memory bus combination? Maybe not a good idea, eh? Maybe one of the experts will weigh in.

I chose the components that I did because they are kinda middle of the road on the price and they will still be way more than most people need. It also ensures that the system is less than what you might pay to Dell or Gateway or maybe even your local PC Store for a similar system.
For $2222 I could boost it to the following...Any takers?
Gigabyte GA-7N400PRO2
CHIEFTEC Black Server Chasis w/450Watt Foxconn Power Supply
AMD ATHLON XP 2600 /333 FSB PROCESSOR CPU w/ HSF/Fan
*1 GB PC3200 Kingston DDR RAM (2*512MB)
Lite On Black 48x24x48x16 CDROM/CDRW/DVD Combo Drive LTC-48161H
*Sony DVD-/+RW Recorder Drive Model DRU510A
Sony Black 3.5 Floppy
SATA1: Seagate 120GB 7200RPM 8M SATA Hard Drive
*SATA2: Seagate 120GB 7200RPM 8M SATA Hard Drive
SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9200 SE 128MB DDR TV-out 8X AGP

I might switch that 2600+ for a Barton 2500+. I know the 2600+ is faster, but the improved core and double L2 cache help the 2500+ pass higher-rated CPU's in many tests. Or just get a Barton 2800+! :D
Also, spend the bit of extra money and go for a full-fledged Radeon 9200. The SE version is slower and in many cases has half the RAM bandwidth. I know Gigabyte makes a good Radeon 9200 128MB for pretty cheap.
I'd also recommend a better power supply. I don't think Foxconn is really that great in quality and besides, you won't need 450 Watts anyway (tho you can pay for it if you want). Antec and Thermaltake make really good power supplies, to name just two.
Other than that, looks awesome! :D

I'm more interested in ensuring that the system is capable of doing most everything without getting too expensive. The power supply is something that I am not sure about as I have never used foxconn. The ps comes with the case so that's why it's there. I know that Antec makes good supplies but I am also trying to keep the price down.
As my sig says, I run with a 9200 SE and it is capable of running the latest 3d games without issue. The combined CPU Speed (2600+) and Memory (1GB PC2700 or PC3200) make this system pretty powerful and for that reason I'm not looking at barton cores. I considered throwing a barton 3200+ but it's approx $500 more and I just can't see very many people being interested in paying that much.
