Microsoft Sidewinder...

hey i'm thinking of getting a microsoft sidewinder (Racing wheel) .. i wanted to know if it would be compatible with dx 9 and latest games like nfs hotpursuit 2 and midnight club 2... i need advice asap!!!!

Hey guys i need help quickly cause my chance of getting the sidewinder will get out of hand if dont make a decision soon.. doesn't anybody have a sidewinder here.. or has used it on dx 9 and the latest games..
please gimme advice ASAP!!!!

AS i understand it DirectX has little or no bearing on input devices and is basically a layer for interfacing with video and audio devices.

Hold on there! Microsoft recently announced that they will be quitting the peripheral market. They are, as we speak, stopping production on all Sidewinder products. They will continue to offer support for a limited time but all repairs will no longer be MS's problem.

Apparently, Logitech and Saitek have made it impossible for MS to reap the kind of profit from the Sidewinder products as they are used to. :p

For future concern, get a Logitech or Saitek racing wheel!
