Hi,
I'm trying to store on my HDD copies of all relevant Windows Update files, in order to save time when reinstalling, and immediately updating, my OS (Win XP Pro 2002).
When I navigate through Windows Update > Windows Update Catalog and select 'Find updates for Microsoft Windows operating systems' I can't find WinXP Pro under 'Operating system' - instead I have a choice of Windows XP 64-Bit Edition in 4 flavours (Basic, RTM, SP1, and Version 2003), Windows XP RTM, and Windows XP SP1.
Via Control Panel > System > General my OS is shown as 'Microsoft Windows XP Professional / Version 2002 / Service Pack 1'. Which OS should I choose? Or, is all this 64-Bit stuff indicating that there are no updates available via this page for my ordinary little XP Pro OS?
Many thanks. Cheers.
