I'm getting the MSI KM2M Combo-L board for my daughter. I plan to use the 384 MB of PC 133 she already has at first. I assume this board does not have any "Dual DDR" type system. If I upgrade to DDR would one 512 stick be better than two 256 sticks. The max FSB of the board is 266 (133 and DDR). Is there any advantage to PC2700 or PC3200 with the boards FSB limitation?

No dual-channel DDR for that mobo, it uses the KM266 chipset. One stick of 512 is preferable and also cheaper. No the faster RAM wouldn't help unless you are going to be overclocking. However, for aggressive RAM timings and since it's the same price as PC2100, a stick of PC2700 would be cool (but again, not necessary).

I thought that was the case with one stick. I didn't think about overclocking in regards to DDR speed, thanks.
