I think its something in the air around here http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif
I seem to be loosing PCI bridges left and right.
System Info;
IBUILTIT
Abit AB-TX5
P233
64Mb SDRAM
12x CDROM (non-readable now)
Win 95
(NEW) Asound NIC(PCI)
My problem is that I can not read a CD. D drive does not show in "My Computer" and Bootup say "no device found".
Under D.M. it shows "Other" devices, which is where I see the PCI bridge and PCI USB with conflicts, (No drivers installed.) This was a functioning machine before and I can't say I know this happened by installing NIC, (I would have checked that.)
No drivers can be found for PCI bridge on the Abit floppy. Any ideas on that?
This is similar to another recent post of mine, where it dropped the DVD. Nothing other than normal use on that machine (no new installs or deletions). VIA 4in1 install caused total lockup http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/mad.gif so I need to find out whats up there.
Any tips or ideas would be greatly appriciated http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/cool.gif
