Hi,
First scan for adware/spyware with Adaware, Spybot, or post HiJack This log.
You can also go to add/remove programs>Internet Explorer 6,
it will prompt you to Remove/Repair/Install, select Repair.
Run Windows Update to reinstall IE6 patches afterwards.
:D
Hi PrntRhd,
Tried that but theres a corrupted file.
Thanks,
kfh.

Where is there a corrupted file and what file is it?? This could be the issue with both the problems you have posted.... give us more info and maybe some solutions will become available.
Hi All,

The Show Desktop.sfc file is the file that Hides/Shows the Desktop and for which there is normally an icon in the Quick Launch Toolbar.
The default W98 path to it in WindowsExplorer/MyComputer is:- WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Show Desktop (the .sfc is a super-hidden file extension).
You could try deleting/renaming it and then restoring it. (http://129.250.172.149/win98-20.html) If, deep down, this is IE corruption which repairing or uninstalling doesnt solve then you could Eradicate IE (http://www.litepc.com/ieradicator.html) and then reinstall a completely fresh version.
Do you get the "double back two jumps" in Windows Explorer in equivalent manner to IE? - that might indicate a deeper problem with the OS.
PS There's no way, I spose, that this is just a highly sensitive mouse! ;)
Hi paul,
I'll try that.
Thanks
kfh.
