google on my site

question:

on some sites, there is a google-searchbox (like on mjc's page (http://www.mjc1.com/) ).

I'd like one of those in the page I'm building myself. I also took a peek at the code for his page.

Can I just use the same code (like copy-paste it with minor adaptions for used imgs) or do I have to clear this with the google-people and/or mjc first to get their permision?
