View Full Version : Too high temperature??

I was always having 50c cpu temperaure and 45c mb temp it dun seem to change at all.
i use aida32 to check the temperature.
it is the same when i check in BIOS(pheonix tech)
Is the temp fix or wad coz i heard that 50c is quite high...:mad:

As I told you in another thread, 50C is a bit warm, it is not too high and it is not hot. If you held an object at 50C in your hand, it would be a bit warmer than your hand, but you could probably hold it for quite a while before it became uncomforable. 70C would be hot. 60C would be too high to run a computer at, but tolerable for short periods.

It wouldn't hurt to get the temp down a bit and extra fans, a better heatsink/fan, better thermal compound and/or lapping the heatsink would all be options to do this.

Please don't post muliple threads about the same subject, it is unnecessary and a bit rude in this forum...

You need to find out what CPU you have and then look at the manufacturers website to determine if the temp your CPU is running at is within the design parameters. On other forum boards I have seen AMD employees stating that if the chip is running at 50 its fine. If it is within the design specs don't worry about it. Make sure you have good airflow and clean the inside occasionally.
